Session Outline: Over the last few years, Canada’s supply chain has been challenged by disruption after disruption, including the COVID-19 pandemic, blockades, strikes / lockouts, extreme weather, and labour shortages. This has revealed a fragility in the supply chain and raised concerns about reliability in the short- to medium-term and resiliency in the medium- to long-term. This panel will focus on understanding these complex challenges and recommend solutions to increase competition, access, resiliency, efficiency, and investment.

Speakers: Ivette Vera-Perez, President & CEO, Canadian Hydrogen Association

Trevor Brown, Executive Director, Ammonia Energy Association

Session Outline: The emerging hydrogen market represents an opportunity to leverage ammonia as an existing source of hydrogen and help nitrogen producer’s lower global greenhouse gas emissions in other sectors. However, a hydrogen economy will require massive public-private investment in infrastructure outside the fence-line of ammonia production facilities. There are restrictions on the number and location of ammonia cars in a train, which limits capacity, and railways have not always supported shipment of dangerous goods such as ammonia due to liability and cost issues despite common carrier obligations. Ports will have to overcome local concerns about the sitting of ammonia terminals in urban settings and establish rigorous safety protocols when producing, storing, transporting, or using these products. This session will explore these opportunities and constraints and the impact of the emerging hydrogen economy on the fertilizer industry.

Fertilizer Canada Golf Tournament in support of Nutrients For Life

The Ireland Course (links course) reflects the personality and the character of architect Pat Ruddy as well as his country of origin. Proposing a par 71 of 6820 yards of greenery and dunes, this course, typically Irish Links, is unique in Canada. You will not forget this spectacular layout.

This course, open to wind and pot bunker type sand traps, will challenge the boldest players. Moreover, three double greens, with gigantic dimensions, testify the original character of this course inspired by the origins of the game of golf.

Most importantly, five sets of starting tees make this course accessible to all level of golfers.

The Ireland Course (links course) has an exotic layout. The striking features will make you imagine you have crossed the Atlantic. You will have the impression of being alone on the course, since the majestic relief of the dunes isolate you from the other fairways.

In short, an authentic Links course without water obstacle (except for hole number 12), dunes reaching 50 feet in height, 71 pot bunkers, and several varieties of fescues and wild flowers, will bring you the feeling of being in Ireland making you live an unforgettable golf experience.
