Fertilizer Canada announces Steve Biggar of Richardson International LTD. as Chair

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA – Fertilizer Canada’s Board of Directors today appointed Steve Biggar of Richardson International Ltd. as Chair for a one-year term.

With a B.Sc. from the University of Manitoba, Biggar began his career focused on fertilizer distribution and sales. He has since demonstrated expertise and leadership as Assistant Vice President, Fertilizer and Energy Products, at Richardson International Ltd.

“Greg has been an exceptional Director and Chair, leading Fertilizer Canada through unprecedented change. The association and the industry have benefitted from his expertise, particularly regarding transportation,” said Biggar.

“I would like to welcome Steve to his new position at the association and thank Greg for his leadership over the past two years.” said Garth Whyte, Fertilizer Canada’s new President and CEO of Fertilizer Canada, appointed earlier this year.

In addition to Biggar, Fertilizer Canada’s 2015-16 Board of Directors includes: (Vice-Chair) Kathy Jordison, Yara Canada LP.; Mark Auchampach, J.R.
