Technical Bulletin: Ammonia Code of Practice (April 2016)

Section A1.2 of the Ammonia Code of Practice indicates that all operations less than 500 metres from population concentrations or less than 100 meters from any occupancy are required to have installed pull away protection on BOTH liquid and vapour hose connections (both in load and out load). This requirement becomes mandatory on January 1, 2017. This protocol is intended to minimize the risk to people from an accidental release of anhydrous ammonia. Please refer the Section A1.2 of the Implementation Guide for compliance information
