K+S Potash Canada GP

K+S Potash Canada (KSPC) is part of the K+S Group, a German-based company that has been mining and processing potash and salt for over 125 years. KSPC has headquarters in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; a potash mine and production facility located near Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan; and a potash handling and storage facility operated in partnership with Pacific Coast Terminals in Port Moody, British Columbia. Our Bethune mine, formerly known as the Legacy Project, is the first new potash mine in Saskatchewan in nearly fifty years. KSPC extracts potash crude salt at the Bethune mine through solution mining and processes it into two grades of potash: MOP Granular and MOP Standard White which is used in both a natural crystal and compacted form as a high purity source of potassium for agriculture. From the Bethune mine, the product makes a 1,800-kilometer journey by Canadian Pacific rail to KSPC’s handling and storage facility in Port Moody, BC where it is shipped to customers all over the world from South East Asia to South America.
