4R Research: Science for Stewardship
What is so important about using 4R Nutrient Stewardship on the farm and how has the industry’s investment improved our knowledge of their use?
In coordination with Fertilizer Canada and the International Plant Nutrition Institute, The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) is hosting a one-hour session on Science for Stewardship to provide insight on current efforts funded through the 4R Research Network. During this session, researchers will discuss the challenge their projects are addressing along with insight into initial findings in their work.
The session will be moderated by IPNI’s President Terry Roberts and speakers will include Dr. Nathan Nelson (Kansas State University) to discuss the role of phosphorus placement and cover crops to reduce nutrient loss, Dr. Claudia Wagner-Riddle (University of Guelph) to talk about using enhanced efficiency fertilizers at planting to reduce Nitrogen loss from grain corn production, and Dr. Allison Eagle (Duke University) to provide insights into future research needs.
All delegates are invited to attend to gain insights into what we are learning about the implementation of 4R Nutrient Stewardship practices and how the industry-funded effort is helping us understand the Science for Stewardship.
