WDO Approves Plan to Improve Management of Pesticides, Solvents and Fertilizers in Ontario

On October 28, Waste Diversion Ontario (WDO) approved an industry-led plan from Product Care Association (Product Care or PCA) to manage pesticides, solvents and fertilizers (PSFs) that will result in improved accessibility and education for consumers, and increased reuse and recycling of materials that historically have only been safely disposed. Under this Industry Stewardship Plan (ISP), municipalities will be able to keep existing arrangements with service providers for the management of PSF materials.
